We do not have charity places for Manchester Marathon, but if you've already secured your place in the event, join team ActionAid by completing our short form. Your fundraising can change the world with women and girls.
I am inspired to contribute to ActionAid's programs for women and children. I can't wait to run for ActionAid and to enjoy a large pint (or two) and burger post-race.
How the money you raise helps
Taj Bibi is 28 and from Pakistan. Tragically, she lost her unborn baby fetching water from a well far from her home. She said:
I was very sad and prayed that water should be available at our doorstep. It is as if my prayers were answered when ActionAid came to our village and installed hand pumps.
"The best part is, they asked the women to identify the most suitable place for their installation. This is fair because women have to fetch water, even if they are unwell, pregnant or extremely exhausted from working all day."
